Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2009 SAIC Undergraduate Film and Video Festival. The festival was held at the Gene Siskel Film Center and the four prize winners were Pippa Possible for Pleasant Special Friends Nice, Jellyjelly Jeon Lim for Statement Proposal for Delicate Love Triangle, Danielle Albert for It's Raining on Clarence and Francisco Cordero Oceguera for Desprecio Maria. Look out for these films on the ExTV website. The festival is now taking place on a yearly basis.

The Undergraduate Film and Video Festival is a bi-annual film/video festival created to enrich the SAIC community and create a positive, fun screening opportunity for Undergraduate students. The first festival was held December 19, 2007, and featured work created by 23 amazing students. The second was in September 2008, with 30 student filmmakers screening. The third festival was in February 2009, and showed the work of another 30 students.  The festival is also sponsored by Student Association, the FVNM department, and the Experimental Film Society. The festival was started by Undergraduate alumni Kali Heitholt, who graduated with her BFA in May 2009.
